Nah, they're separate entities even though they share the name. You can't use your Giffgaff mobile referral for the recycling service, I checked into that when I sold my old S21.

I think they're linked but not the same. You probably can't use member referrals across them, like it's a different system for the recycling side.

Sometimes they send them out in emails if you're signed up for newsletters. You gotta enter it right when you're getting your initial quote for the phone, before you send it off.

Yeah, I sold them an old iPhone 8 with a pretty gnarly crack a few months ago. They still took it, the quote just went down a bit. I think it depends on how bad it is, but they definitely buy 'broken' ones.

They do accept them, but don't expect the full price obviously. They have a whole thing on their site about damaged phones, water damage even. Just be honest when you get the quote and you should be fine.
